Fly-fishing is a type of fishing that involves artificial fly. Nowadays, fly-fishing is becoming more and more popular because of its environmentally friendly behavior. Quite reluctantly, carp fly-fishing is not an exception to this. A successful carp fly-fishing needs much care and much observation.

 

Nowadays, carp fly-fishing is an important sport. Some people try to perform the practice of carp fly-fishing in warm waters while some others perform it in whatever is available.

 

General Techniques

 

There are two techniques of carp fly-fishing. They are - sight casting and blind casting. Sight casting involves seeing carp in the water and casting the fly to about 1 or 2 feet in front of them. While blind casting involves two ways. The first way is to cast to places where you expect carp could be. While the second is to cast wherever you find ground bait for the carp.

Equipment

 

A baseball cap, polarized sunglasses, and a rod are the compulsory items you need to have while carp fly-fishing. Along with this, you need to have reels that drag decently. A floating fly line is necessary for your carping.

 

The flies splash sometimes carp. In that case, smaller or lighter fly will serve the purpose. Carp give visual feedback through which you come to know what they are telling you. The hooks that you use in carp fly-fishing should be made of heavy wire. Hooks also serve the purpose of backing. If you use good quantities of reels, you can get back backing onto the reels in a lesser time. It is good to check the condition of your backing beforehand.
